War or no war, but we have to work

Mykhailo and Oleksandra left the front-line Bakhmut in Donetsk region in April 2022, when it became dangerous to live in the city and it was no longer possible to work. They chose Kryvyi Rih as a place for relocation.

In order to feed his family, Mykhailo got a job as a machinist’s assistant at the ArcelorMittal enterprise, the former Kryvorizhstal plant.

Oksana has been working at the plant for over 15 years. In addition to her work in the blast furnace, she manages to weave patriotic ribbons for the Ukrainian military.

Yevhenii, a blast furnace miner, says that the war changed his life.
